As diverse in culture as it is in wildlife, Africa is truly a land like no other. The second largest continent in the world offers spectacular scenery and a range of adventures to make it an unforgettable holiday.
The panoramas here are unparalleled and the exotic beaches are the very essence of paradise. Few opportunities will bring you closer to magnificent beasts such as lions, elephants and giraffes than an African safari, and the mesmerising views across the desert will make you wonder whether you are still on Earth.
Our closest African destination is trendy Morocco, the flight time being just one hour. Here you'll be overwhelmed by the atmospheric 'kasbahs' (markets), vibrant culture and mouth-watering flavours (don't forget to try a classic Lamb Tagine), and with the Sahara Desert right on your doorstep, a camel-based adventure seems only fitting.
The mountains and rivers of South Africa will instantly fill you with awe, and the sunsets will be quite unlike anything you’ve ever witnessed. Whatever your budget, Africa is one of the most exciting holiday destinations you could ever hope to encounter.

Africa's immense size means that there are huge climatic variations depending on the region. The countries around the equator for instance experience typical tropical weather with dry and wet seasons, whereas certain areas of northern Africa experiences the same kind of weather as southern Europe.
A good time to visit the Sahara and the arid parts of Central Africa is from October to February, although you should expect cold nights. That's also the best season for enjoying summer in southern Africa and the west African coast.
The normally dry lands of northern Africa spring into life between March and May, which is a spectacle not to be missed.
