Things to do whilst on holiday in Toronto
For a great view of the city, take a trip up the second tallest tower in the world - The CN Tower. With its great observation decks you can witness unspoilt views of the city and beyond. On a clear day you can even see the mighty Niagara Falls.
If you fancy some fun in the great outdoors then a visit to the Toronto Island Park is the perfect place. Take a short ferry ride from downtown Toronto and be led into a little island oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. On the islands, experience fantastic views of the city, a choice of beaches, amusement parks and a terrific place for a picnic. If you are still feeling active then why not give kayaking a go. You will find it hard to believe you’re in a big city!
If you are a connoisseur of beers, then a trip to the Steam Whistlers Brewery should be high up on your ‘things to do in Toronto' list! With friendly staff and excellent tours you can sample some of Canada’s finest brews and even get a six-pack to take home with you.
Take a step back in time and go to the St Lawrence Market and Hall. For over two centuries this has been the neighbourhood meeting point. The South Market has over 50 specialised food stalls from butchers to cheese vendors to bakers. There is also a free gallery in the exhibition hall where you can mull over the art after sampling some of the fine foods of the market.

Toronto is a great city to visit all year round that benefits from all the seasons, so no matter when you go you’ll experience different aspects to the city. The summer months are from May to August with average temperatures between 25°C to 35°C. Winter months are not too cold or harsh in comparison to other parts of Canada. Average temperatures are around -2°C from December to March. Spring is in the air by mid-March and by May the temperature becomes very comfortable.
