Aerial View of the Grotto Bay Beach Resort in Bermuda

Grotto Bay Beach Resort Overview

The Grotto Bay Beach Resort is perfectly suited for a very romantic vacation experience. Situated on the north-central part of the island, this resort is a perfect place for a memorable holiday.

All the 201 rooms and 11 cottages have a genuinely local touch, since their exterior and interior feature traditional Bermudian architecture and custom design. The sophisticated dining rooms also breath Bermudian atmosphere. After dinner, terraces are awaiting you for a breezy and relaxing evening.

After enjoying Bermuda's exotic pink sand beaches and azure blue waters, try some of the many recreational activities the resort proudly offers. One of the most exciting is the underground caves – exploring them in Bermuda is a unique and unmissable experience.

There are also freshwater swimming pools, tennis courts open day and night and – for the romantics out there – wonderfully colourful sunset boat cruises. Non-motorised water sports are all here: sailing, snorkelling, and wind-surfing. You can also dive to explore the unforgettable coral reefs and discover shipwrecks such as the King George, which sank in 1930 – or the Mary Celestia, gone underwater in 1864.

The resort's own spa will help you feel and look good, while an outdoor garden-surrounded Jacuzzi is a perfect note for relaxation. Bermuda's two finest golf courses are just moments away.

Grotto Bay Beach Hotel
by Gill Davies, stay date: 15 Nov 2011
Dear Stuart/Kenwood Travel, My partner and I returned yesterday from our ten day holiday in Bermuda. We just wanted to tell you that it was utterly perfect in every way. Yes, it was winter there and we did have some cloud and we had two days when we had a shower (most rain was at night) and one afternoon of torrential rain which we spent in the hotel but it was mostly fine and warm in comparison with here (high 60sF and a few days 70F). We went everywhere on the pink buses (for which we got a pass) and saw most of the island and all the places of interest. The Crystal & Fantasy Cave complex with the wonderful stalagmites and stalactites was spectacular and a 'must see'. The scenery was wonderful. The people were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We felt perfectly safe and happy everywhere we went - even when walking on deserted beaches or through nature reserves. The Grotto Bay Beach Hotel accommodation was very good and the half board option was a very definite winner as the meals we had each evening would have cost a fortune if we had not been on this option - the food was excellent with 5 courses each with a number of choices. Very definitely Bermuda and the Grotto Bay Beach Hotel are to be recommended. Sincerely, Gill Davies.
