Tobago Holidays

Meet the true Caribbean

Tobago is the smaller of the two islands that make up Trinidad and Tobago, and is a tropical wonder just waiting to be explored. Not only do you get some excellent eco-reserves and incredible cascading waterfalls, you also get stunning year-round sunshine and beautiful chalk-white beaches.

Tobago Holidays

Holidays to Tobago typify the very essence of a relaxing break in the sun. If you’re looking for an alternative to the hustle of Trinidad’s Port of Spain for instance, Tobago obliges with quiet beaches, untouched rainforest and the aquamarine beauty of Bucco Reef.

There's more to see and do than meets the eye, too. Unearth fascinating histories and cultural curiosities at the Tobago Museum or hop on a boat to the protected bird sanctuary in Little Tobago and meet stars of the island's 200-strong avian species.

Spark the adventure with a trip to Pigeon Peak – a national park that climbs to 1877 feet – and the breathtaking views it affords. Tobago doesn't disappoint in the watersports department either. Snorkelling, paddle-boarding, kayaking and windsurfing all benefit from the warm surrounding waters and add further scope for action on your trip. When it's time to temper the tempo, reward your exploits with a visit to the Cocoa Estate and sample the island's world-famous chocolate straight from the source.

Festivals in Tobago contribute to a packed annual calendar. The region's cultural diversity echoes through these events allowing an even deeper appreciation of the region’s proud history. February's Carnival and the Heritage festivals are vibrant displays of bright costumes, steel pan drums and all night dancing true to the honest, unpretentious local traditions. In August the Great Fete takes the shape of a five-day beach party that coincides with the Carib Great Race powerboat show, and September and October see the arrival of tour-cycling’s elite for the Tobago International Classic.
