Hilton Washington Overview

Want to stay in a luxury hotel while soaking up some rock ‘n’ history? Then the Hilton in Washington is the place for you. A modern urban retreat located on several acres near Dupont Circle at the centre of the nation’s capital it has played host to number of rock royalty down through the years. In fact, during the sixties and seventies it saw shows from the likes of the Doors and Jimi Hendrix.

Today the hotel doesn’t offer quite the same incendiary nightlife as it once did but still provides the perfect backdrop from which to explore Washington DC and its myriad of attractions. There’s the Smithsonian National Zoo about a mile away from the Hilton's front door and Rock Creek Park and the historic district of Georgetown are both located nearby.

If you’re on a more business based trip then the Hilton Washington also provides you with the perfect place to make those crucial connections. The hotel has hosted presidents, world leaders, and other prominent figures since it opened back in 1965. It offers more than 110,000 square feet of space including its legendary 36,000 square foot international Ballroom complex.

Terrific Service
by Joe Hill, stay date: 05 May 2011
It's always fun staying in Washington, especially if you're a bit of a political junkie and this is one of the best places to stay there. You've got so many attractions nearby and so many things to keep you busy you almost forget how great the resort is. Almost!
