When the Floridan sun sets on halloween, all the ghouls come out to play. This year’s Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Florida is well-underway for the Autumn season, with phan-tastic events and a little few surprises here and there.

Every year from the end of the summer period to the start of Christmas time, Mickey and his friends (including those not-so friendly villains) host a spectacular Halloween party filled with ghostly shows, a dazzling fireworks display hosted by Jack Skeleton from the Nightmare Before Christmas and exclusive goodies. Tickets to the kid-friendly event are sold separately on top of park tickets, and begin late at night when the park closes to the public. Read on for a Kenwood Travel take on the Spooktacular event of the year.

Behind every great hero is a wickedly devious villain. You’ll find some of Disney’s infamous characters roaming the streets, whilst taking the odd selfie or two, doing what they do best…getting up to no good. Can’t keep up with these fiends? Catch them at the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, hosted by the heinous Sanderson Sisters in front of the Magic Kingdom Castle. From nightmarish sing-a-longs to hypnotising dancing, get into the spirit of Halloween by celebrating with your favourite antagonist.

With two nightly sessions, the Boo-To-You parade features both friends and foes together to celebrate the ultimate Halloween-event. All Disney World Parks take part in the parade, from the Pirates of Adventureland to Buzz Lightyear and his alien friends from Tomorrowland. Join Mickey and his friends as they show off their brand-new Halloween costumes whilst dancing and strutting down Main Street. (The Halloween Parade starts at 9.15pm and 11.15pm)

It wouldn’t be Halloween without some sickly-sweet treats. From Maleficent-shaped ice cream cones to orange and black iced cinnamon rolls, each Walt Disney World park offers their own spooky take on these sugary snacks. Pumpkin spiced lovers can also hop on their brooms and fly over to Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland to sample their flavoured soft-serves and milkshakes too. Step up your Halloween candy game and reserve a space at Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at the Plaza Garden Viewing or Tomorrowland Terrace.
