When we think of Marvel superheroes we probably imagine them in their natural habitat, America. Or, more specifically, New York. But you will find them all very soon in another megalopolis – this time hotter and far from the USA metropolises.
Iron Man, Captain America, Spider Man, Hulk et al, will be fighting the evil powers in the United Arab Emirates by the end of 2013. This is when a superb Marvel Comics theme park will open its doors in Dubai.
Marvel Adventure is the latest indoor family attraction scheduled to open in the City of Arabia development on Emirates Road, Dubai. According to Abu Dhabi’s newspaper The National, the one-million square foot theme park will include shopping outlets, a range of restaurants and experiences featuring classic Marvel superheroes.
The park is being built by Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG). As they told the Arab paper: “Not only will the park attract tourists, it will combine with a very strong base of customers who reside in the UAE.”
