Kenwood Travel destination experts come in all shapes and sizes. So when six-foot-three Scott, one of our dedicated team of Asia specialists, told us that his experience on a recent Qatar Airways flight to Langkawi was ‘extremely comfortable’, we were intrigued to find out just how they managed to accommodate him so well…

Scott wanted us to begin his review by saying Qatar Airways ‘was the best airline I have travelled on’. High praise from a man of high stature, literally. He went on to say: ‘I’m six-foot-three and their business class was extremely comfortable, with easily enough space and legroom for me. I was massively impressed by the quality of the food too. You can dine whenever you like from an a la carte menu, and this isn’t typical plane food either; it reminded me more of a good restaurant – incredible.’

The food on board reminded Scott of a quality restaurant

All this from a travel expert with 15 years’ experience who is certainly no stranger to the world’s leading airlines. Scott found the overall in-flight product to be ‘amazing’, and praised the attentive and considerate service from all cabin crew. Even in economy (his London to Langkawi trip took in stop-offs at Doha and Penang en route), the impeccable service continued, he said. The seats may have been smaller than the premium cabin, but Scott couldn’t find fault with the entertainment, food, spaciousness and service.

‘This was 100% the best experience in the sky I have had, and I would highly recommend Qatar Airways to my clients of all budgets.’

In Langkawi Scott stayed at the imperiously chic Ritz Carlton Hotel as well as the barefoot-luxury hideaway of The Datai Langkawi. Fittingly high-standard accommodations following such a satisfying flight.

And by all accounts, the industry praise for Qatar Airways certainly backs up Scott’s personal appraisal. Known as an airline where world-class service meets innovative design, Qatar offers a peerless travel experience. The legendary hospitality is tailored exclusively to passengers’ needs, and superb cuisine joins 4,000 entertainment options to create a sanctuary in the sky.

Service with a smile

And no matter your taste or budget, you can fly your way thanks to a choice of three exemplary cabin classes. Economy Class is all about comfort, convenience and space, and offers one of the widest seats of its category as well as one of the youngest fleets. Qatar’s Business Class is simply one of passenger aviation’s best, combining stellar service with technology to match. First Class, meanwhile, is a haven of tranquillity. Sit back, relax and enjoy refined and attentive personal care surrounded by elegant décor in your own private space.
