If you are going to be away during the Queen’s Jubilee weekend you’ll miss street parties, festivals and the last sun rays we will probably have in the British Islands for a long time.

However, if you are lucky enough to be on holiday in Barbados, don’t despair, because you will have a better weather, stunning beaches and also a proper dose of royal celebrations. On June 3rd Barbados will join with the United Kingdom in celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

There will be a street party in St. Lawrence Gap, a mile-long strip where you’ll find entertainment for the whole family.

Several restaurants on the strip will be serving typical English fare to celebrate this landmark event, so you won’t be short of traditional fish and chips served on newspaper, high tea, banger and mash, British ale and cider.

Don’t forget that Barbados is a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth as sovereign, so Barbadians are as happy as we are to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Come on, join them on your holidays to Barbados!
