It was holiday time for the ‘King of Bollywood’ as the Shah Rukh Khan family enjoyed a holiday in the Maldives earlier this month.

The stunning beach resort of Jumeirah Vittaveli hosted the illustrious guests, fittingly reserving the luxurious Royal Residence and a sumptuous Beach Suite for their stay. The Indian movie megastar was accompanied by wife Gauri Khan and children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.

The Khan family holiday in the Maldives followed SRK’s recent turn as the voice of Mufasa in the animated Hindi-dubbed Hollywood blockbuster the Lion King. Son Aryan was the voice for the Simba character. The film can be added to the list of over 80 Shah Rukh Khan movies, joining the likes of Dilwale, Koyla, and Mohabbatein in the much-loved actor’s wide-ranging body of work. It’s a career that has earned the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ multiple accolades including 14 Filmfare awards.

‘King Khan’ posted a sweet tweet upon departing the Maldives resort. It read that he was ‘feeling bad having to leave Maldives and especially all the wonderful people at Jumeirah Vittaveli’. The entire staff team at Jumeirah Vittaveli are reported to have been ‘overjoyed’ to welcome the star and his family. They said they will ‘cherish the memories of their stay for a long time to come.’
