The Inn at English Harbour

5* out of 5 stars

At The Inn at English Harbour you’ll encounter an architectural style that is ubiquitous in the Caribbean and confidently portrays their colonial history. But at The Inn, this style reaches the pinnacle of the colonial aesthetic, whilst including all of the contemporary comforts we’re acquainted with in the twenty-first century.

Situated in nineteen acres of tropical gardens on its own beachfront of white sands, The Inn at English Harbour is surrounded by National parkland. It also has the convenience of being a mere five minutes from the bars, boutiques and restaurants of the English Harbour, and only twenty minutes from the airport.

The beachfront is one hundred yards wide and forty yards deep across Freeman’s Bay, making it a very intimate and private space. You’ll be basking in the Caribbean Sun of this secluded piece of shoreline where the tide oscillates in the background of your holiday paradise.

If you happen to be here during April, make sure you don’t miss Antigua’s annual International Sailing Week, which is one of English Harbour’s pre-eminent events of the year. For every other calendar day you’ll enjoy the lounge chairs situated on the beach, enabling you to relax in Caribbean comfort. Furthermore, there’s also a sixty-five by forty-five foot freshwater infinity pool overlooking the beachfront.

There’s a lot to keep one entertained at The Inn. There’s the fitness centre, two treatment/massage rooms, two floodlit tennis courts, and complimentary use of kayaks, Sunfish sailboats as well as windsurfing and snorkelling equipment. Other activities – paid locally – include water-skiing, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving.

Golfers can bring their clubs on their travels with eighteen-hole championship golf courses available at Cedar Valley and Jolly Harbour. But club rentals can also be had, as well as lessons and buggies.

For a touch of sophistication and refinement, guests can relax at the boutique Spa at The Inn, with a host of spa therapies and treatments available.

Please note: The Antigua government has introduced a tourist levy of $5.00USD per person, per night for anyone aged 6 years and over, payable locally at your hotel.
