Secrets Maroma Beach

Overall this is a great resort. The beach is amazing; I'd bet that you will not find a better one anywhere in the world. The rooms are lovely; really big, clean and comfy. The staff are without exception excellent.
However, to be totally honest the food is not that great. It is by no means bad and we had some nice meals and there are 7 restaurants to choose from so plenty of choice if you don't like a certain type of cuisine. Hard to put your finger on it but the food doesn't quite match the standards set by the rest of the hotel. Personally I think that it is the quality of produce and ingredients that it is at fault rather than the skills of the chefs as everything is presented well and properly cooked but just doesn't quite taste right. Don't get me wrong the food is not bad but just not great. Still had an amazing time though and would definitely go back.
Secrets Maroma Beach is an ideal resort if you just want to get away from it all. The staff totally respect your privacy and when you want them they are more than happy to serve you. Everything is a pleasure to them, and service is always with a smile. The grounds, beach, hotel public areas and the rooms are immaculate, and they remain that way all of the time. If you put something down it is removed and if necessary a refill brought. No need to reserve a bed by the pool or on the beach as the staff in this area will remove any laid out towels if the beds have not been used for more than 30mins, ideal for those people who think they will 'steal' the best spots and then go back to bed. This is one of those resorts where you are sad to go home when 'your time is up', we would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to be able to go back soon.
