Oualie Beach Resort

3* out of 5 stars

At the north west tip of the fascinating and tiny twin island paradise of St Kitts & Nevis lies the three-star Oualie Beach Resort. It's the small resort that promises big adventure for its guests.

Oualie Beach Resort prides itself on offering near-limitless opportunities for activity, all covered by a complete set of packages. For the watersports enthusiasts, one can embark on a PADI-certified Scuba Safari, exploring the staggeringly beautiful coral reefs, tropical fish that surround the resort site and old shipwrecks that lie dormant within. And if Scuba's a little too heavy one can always opt for the snorkelling option. Ride waves of pleasure with ocean kayaking, or stay inland for horseback rides and hikes through thick and diverse tropical forests.

For those after relaxation, Lovers Beach is only a five minute walk from the resort, so if you’re after a spot of serene solitude, Oualie Beach Resort is perfect for you. Should you feel the need to unwind in the resort, the "Pamper Packs" provide incredible spa treatments for your whole courtesy of the hotel's highly trained masseuse.

The all-inclusive plan at Oualie Beach Resort includes breakfast, lunch and dinner from a special all-inclusive menu. Guests can choose from local draft beers; juices, sodas and bottled water; house brands of spirits & mixed drinks; and house brands of wines by the glass or bottle. The premium All Inclusive upgrade offers guests any item from the regular menu, including lobster or steak, top shelf spirits, wines and more. Guests on the all-inclusive plan for over ten days can request the ‘local dine out’ option where the resort will pay for food and beverages consumed from a local Nevisian restaurant. This all-inclusive offer is an incredible way to experience local culture in its tastiest form.

Oualie Beach Restaurant & Bar

Located right on the best beach on the island of Nevis. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch is a lively, casual time with most clients in swim suits eating outside in the sand at granite tables in the shade of large trees. Oualie Beach's new chef, Chef Michael Henville, is a native Nevisian who studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Chef Michael has returned to Nevis and is bringing a youthful approach to the restaurant and the food it serves. Chef Michael is ably assisted by sous chefs Wilma and Gloria, who are both natives of Nevis. The menus are created to reflect the owners "green" philosophy of using fresh, locally grown produce wherever possible. Dinner is slightly more formal and most guests eat inside the open air restaurant. However diners do have a choice of sitting under the stars (if the weather permits!).

After dinner most guests stay on at the Oualie bar where they meet resident expats and locals. On Tuesday and Friday nights there is usually live music and dancing (but call first to check). The Oualie bar is quite unique in that it appeals both to locals and tourists resulting in a fun, eclectic gathering. If the bartender confirms a greenflash at sundown then drinks are 2 for 1 in price.
