Morocco is a beautiful country with magnificent mountains, desert, oceans, and cities. The scenery is stunning and the details of the various towns and villages intriguing.

This tour has been specially designed to allow you to experience the best that Morocco has to offer as we travel throughout the country.

You'll visit Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, Volubilis, Fez, Erfoud, Merzouga, Rissani, Todra Gorge, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Essaouira, and Marrakesh in your journey through Morocco. You'll have ample time to explore all of these destinations and photograph the various sights, but you'll also be able to stop the vehicle to capture the special sights of small village life, natural beauty, and architectural details that may interest you.

This amazing journey throughout Morocco will delight you with the variety of its sights, the splendour of its palaces, the complexity of its architecture, the grandeur of its desert, the mystery of its daily life, and much more.

Day 1 - Arrival in Casablanca (Dinner)

Arrival at Casablanca Mohamed Vth airport. You'll be greeted and provided with assistance for your luggage. We will provide a private transportation for a drive to the your hotel.Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2 - Casablanca - Rabat - Fez (Breakfast & Dinner)

Morning sightseeing of Casablanca, including the impressive Hassan II Mosque from inside (closed to tourists on Fridays) –a magnificent art work of architecture and Moroccan handicraft-, the old Medina –partly enclosed by the old wall with a maze of narrow streets and white washed brick or stone houses-, Place Mohamed Vth - a busy shopping street lined by residential blocks dating from the 1930s-, the United Nations Square - designed by French architect Joseph Marrast-, the League of Arab States Park - which offers a large area of greenery with palm trees, arcades, pergolas
and cafés.

Then on to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. See the picturesque Kasbah of the Oudayas and the Oudaya Gate, built during the Almohad dynasty as well as the well-preserved Hassan Tower and the Chellah, which were built by the Merinids in the 12th and 13th centuries. Walk into the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the burial place of the present King’s father and grandfather.

Continue to Fez and transfer to your selected hotel or Riad

Day 3 - Fez (Breakfast & Dinner)


A full day devoted to the visit of Fez, the religious/spiritual capital of Morocco, dating back to the 9th century and a plunge into biblical times.

See the old and new Medina and view the 14th century religious schools (Medersas) of Bou Inania and Attarine. Explore the impressive labyrinth of Souks in Fez, declared by UNESCO to be one of the world’s cultural treasures. The tour also gives ample photograph opportunities at the imposing gate of Bab Boujloud, the splendid fountain at Place Nejjarine, the ancient ramparts, and the beautiful façade of the Royal Palace.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4 - Fez - Meknes - Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Fez (Breakfast & Dinner)

Set off in the direction of Meknes, founded in the 9th century by Zenata Berbers. A visit of this former Imperial City of Morocco includes the old ramparts; the Agoudal Basin, once used to water the royal gardens and amuse the favorite concubines; and the Moulay Ismaïl royal stables, granaries and House of Water (Dar El Ma), built in the 17th and 18th centuries to house, feed and water the sultan’s twelve thousand horses. Finally, see Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco; and the Moulay Ismaïl Mausoleum, one of the very few holy sites in Morocco which may be visited by non-Muslims.

In the afternoon visit of Volubilis that used to be one of the Roman Empire’s most remote outposts, whose well-preserved and partially restored ruins date largely from 2nd and 3rd centuries AD, although the site was originally settled by Carthaginian traders in the 3rd century BC.

Continue to Moulay Idriss holy village where is buried the founder of Morocco, king Moulay Idriss, and visit of this picturesque village.

Day 5 - Erfoud - Merzouga (Breakfast & Dinner)


Start bright and early for a picturesque drive heading south across the cedar forests and picturesque scenery of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Continue to Erfoud passing through the Legionnaire Pass, Rachidia and the
Tafilaet Valley.

Arrive Erfoud, situated amongst the impressive sand dunes of the Sahara Desert, one of the largest oases in Morocco.

Upon arrival in Erfoud, we will travel by chauffeured jeep to Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara Dunes for a superb night spent camping in Bedouin tent. After settling in to your tent, you will have the opportunity to explore the area further. Experience Berber life first hand as you pass the night under the vast Saharan sky. You’ll be amazed and you're going to love it!

Dinner overnight accommodation at the foot of Erg Chebbi dunes, offering a magical sight of the sunset and sunrise over the majestic Sahara dunes.

Day 6 - Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Tineghir - Ouarzazate (Breakfast & Dinner)


You can wake up very early in the morning to admire the sunrise over the dunes.

Drive to Rissani, the cradle of the presently reigning Alaouite Dynasty. View the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif from outside and take a tour of the Abou Aam Ksar (fortified village) dating back to the 14th century with its maze-like passages and ornate brickwork as well as the Ouled El Hadim Kasbah.

Return to Erfoud and visit the date market and the Tafilalet Oasis, a 700,000 date palm with oleandours and haunting Ksours, before setting off through beautiful scenery of palm groves and oases to Tinerhir, a former military outpost built on terraces above a magnificent palm grove and the way into the awesome Todra Gorge.

The Todra Gorge is a massive fault in the plateau dividing the High Atlas from the Jebel Sarho with a crystal-clear river running through it. Walking expedition "at the ends of the Earth", in the awesome gorge, between 300 metre cliffs.

Continue on the beautiful Road of a Thousand Kasbahs via Boumalne du Dades, a large town and local administration center at the foot of the gorge, followed by a series of Kasbahs, El Kelaa M’Gouna (a major center of rose cultivation) and the Skoura Palm Grove.

Continue to the film industry center at Ouarzazate.

Day 7 - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Tazenakht - Taliouine - Taroudant (Breakfast & Dinner)

Morning tour of Ouarzazate including the 17th century Taourirt Kasbah, which served as the home of the Pacha Glaoui.

Continue to the ancient kasbah complex of Ait Ben Haddou, a wonderful 11th century Ksar (fortified village) that has been declared an historical treasure by UNESCO and that has also been the site of many Hollywood movies.

It is an area of crumbling Kasbahs grouped among patches of wheatfields, terraced orchards, olives and date palms. It ascends a small mountain and is surmounted by an Agadir (grain storage tower) giving it an epic scale.

Then you will be driven to Taroudant through Tazenakht, known for its high quality carpet cooperative and then Taliouine, a major center of saffron cultivation and production, in the heart of the Sirwa Mountains, in the western Anti-Atlas.

Late afternoon arrival in Taroudant.

Day 8 - Taroudant (Breakfast & Dinner)


Morning spent exploring Taroudant, which is called the "Little Marrakesh" because it is a scaled down, slowed down town that resembles Marrakesh with it's surrounding ramparts. Unlike Marrakesh, Taroudant contains almost the whole city within its walls. It has the feel of a small market town on some caravan route and is noted for its local crafts.

Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Day 9 - Taroudant - Essaouira (Breakfast & Dinner)


In the morning, set out for Essaouira, a charming fishing harbour, renowned for generations for its production of "Murex", a small shellfish used to make the purple dye for Roman togas. Essaouira is now a very active fishing harbour, with some Portuguese character who settled here in the 16th century. Later on Sultan Mohamed Ben Abdellah used it as a base for his corsairs. Today, protected from the sea and the wind behind its commanding fortified medieval walls, Essaouira shelters a flourishing craftsmanship in marquetry, working wood with ebony, mother of pearl and silver thread to make tables, chess-boards, caskets and bracelets.

Day 10 - Departure to Marrakesh (Breakfast)

With this morning at leisure you will have ample time to relax on the beach, explore the town, visit the many shops in the Medina, and interact with the friendly people. A seafood lunch may be taken in a restaurant on the harbour area.

In the afternoon you will be driven to Marrakesh.

Day 11 - Marrakesh (Breakfast & Dinner)

In the morning guided tour by Caleches (horse-drawn carriages), a very popular and fun mean of transportation typical of Marrakesh. You’ll see the Koutoubia Mosque (from outside), the lovely Bahia Palace, the Majorelle/Yves Saint Laurent Botanical Gardens and the modern area of Gueliz.

Afternoon walking discovery tour of the fascinating labyrinthine Souks of Marrakesh, which are certainly the most colourful and the most lively in Africa.
The different trades are grouped by services they offer: the Dyers, the Blacksmiths, the Babouche and shoe-makers, spices and fabric sellers.

Your journey ends at the renowned Djemaa El Fna square, a popular entertainment area where at the end of the afternoon, storytellers, snake-charmers, tooth-drawers and dancers appear to entertain the crowd in a scene that is pure street theatre.

Tonight, you will dine at the gorgeous Yacut, owned by the Great Britain Honorary Consul and designed by the American architect Bill Willis.
Located in the old Medina, down narrow alley-like streets, with high walls and plain facades, its splendour is only revealed once you have gained admittance.
This is a palatial property built in a grand style around a central courtyard containing a garden, fountain and pool.

In this harmonious and serene setting, a refined luxury is combined with an opulent comfort: soft colours, stunning fireplaces, walls with antique mirrors, sumptuous textiles and luxurious sofas, zellij (mosaics) with impressive motifs, ancient ceilings, silver and bronze candelabras, traditional furniture and carpets.
You will also enjoy fantastic views as you drink aperitifs on the rooftop terrace, gourmet Moroccan food, local entertainment, and much more.

Pre-dinner drink, 4-course gourmet Moroccan menu, unlimited Moroccan wine & soft drinks during the meal are all included.

Day 12 - Departure from Marrakesh (Breakfast)


Breakfast followed by transfer in time to Marrakesh Menara airport according to your flight home schedule.
