Food & Drink

Rambler

Conceived by Hat Trick Hospitality, the team behind a host of socially-driven dining and drinking destinations, Rambler is a distinctive Union Square San Francisco restaurant. Executive Chef Banks White serves flavor-forward California fare made with locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients. Choose from small plates like stone fruit salad with goat milk feta and candied hazelnuts, Chile de Arbol chicken wings, and ahi tartare. As for mains, guests can dig into braised beef short roms with Anson Mills Farro Verde, summer vegetables, and California halibut with cauliflower and onion soubise. Located in the space that previously housed Wolfgang Puck’s iconic Postrio restaurant, Rambler carries on the spirit of conviviality and social energy that the celebrity chef established when Postrio opened in 1989.

The Mantel Bar

An intimate lounge with seating nestled by the lobby's gothic fireplace, The Mantel Bar is the ultimate place to unwind. That's especially true at night, when it transforms into a stylish bar that evokes a historic San Francisco speakeasy. Setting the mood: unorthodox and bold design accents, like spontaneous black light-exposed poetry. It all amplifies the hotel’s playfully psychedelic heartbeat, and pays tribute to the bookstores and cafés of the beatnik era. At any time of day, guests and locals alike gather here — for conversation, relaxation and moments in the glow of the crackling fireplace.
