Constructed in 1909 as an expansion of the former Imperial Hotel, the new wing played an important role in Portland’s culture and history by hosting cattle ranches visiting from Eastern Oregon. Later in 2001, it became the now-known Hotel Lucia, and a couple of years after the renovations, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The rich historical significance is beautifully encapsulated in its walls, adorned with an extensive collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs. within the lively downtown vibrant culture, the hotel is home to intrepid adventurers, creative minds, and those traveling for business purposes.
