Weather in St Lucia
Like pretty much all of the Caribbean islands, St Lucia's climate is mainly hot and humid. If you wish to escape the soaring temperatures, December through January are generally the coolest months while temperatures between June and August can rise to over 30 degrees Celsius. There is little difference in the seasons, although the highest level of rain falls between June and November.

Castries Central Market
Castries Central Market is the largest and most bustling open-air market on the island. This vibrant marketplace offers a sensory feast where locals and visitors alike can immerse themselves in the rich culture and daily life of St. Lucia. Wander through the colourful stalls brimming with an array of goods, from aromatic spices and fresh tropical fruits to handcrafted souvenirs and artisanal products. The market is especially lively on Saturday mornings, a prime time to experience its full energy. The bright orange pitched roof is a distinctive landmark, guiding you to this essential destination.
Hike Gros Piton
The Pitons are a Unesco World Heritage Site and perhaps the single most iconic landmarks and symbols of St. Lucia. Whilst the view is incredible from afar, it's definitely worth getting up close and scaling one of these mountains. The ocean-spanning panoramas from the top of Gros Piton (2,619 feet) are staggering and well worth the hike to the summit. As a protected landmark, you'll need permission from the Forestry Department before you get going. A guide can also surpervise your journey along the trail, whilst keeping you informed on nature, history, and perhaps some local recommendations.

Pigeon Island has come to be known as one of the most beautiful and historically significant landmarks in Saint Lucia. A highly contested landscape with a checkered past, Pigeon Island includes a number of heritage sites, including military ruins and a foretress lookout as well as two stunning beaches and some awesome eateries. This 44-acre islet is easily accessible just north of Castries and only a short drive away from Gros Islet.
