Five facts about Oceania Cruises
- Oceania Cruises has seven ships: Insignia, Regatta, Sirena, Nautica, Marina, Riviera and Vista.
- The smallest vessels (Insignia, Regatta, Sirena, Nautica) all hold around 684 guests. Marina and Riviera hold a maximum of 1,238 while Vista, which launched in 2023, can hold up to 1,200 guests.
- Oceania Cruises’ annual world cruise takes guests Around the World in 180 Days.
- Guests on Oceania Cruises gets through 1400lbs of lobster every week, and 1,800 bottles of Champagne.
- The company now includes flights, airport transfers, shore excursions, drinks with meals and wifi with the price of the cruise.
Who is an Oceania Cruise for?
Oceania Cruises are for those who take their food very seriously, and think it is the one of the most important factors of a holiday. It is for the indulgers, the epicureans and the gourmands. That extends to life off the ship too, with chef-led Culinary Discovery Tours proving incredibly popular with guests wanting to tour local markets with an expert.
The decor is decadent and glamorous. The staterooms and suites are full of luxuries.
A warning for those travelling with children. Oceania Cruises doesn’t have onboard facilities or programmes to keep younger guests entertained and what is onboard - think restaurants and bars - is mainly for an older crowd.
