Day 1
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. Once there, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Day 2
Spend the morning discovering Hanoi’s fascinating history, then head to Ha Long Bay where you’ll witness the impressive marble edifice housing the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. (Please note that this is closed on Mondays and Fridays.) After marvelling at the mausoleum, travel to One Pillar Pagoda to see the first university in Vietnam and the Temple of Literature. On the way to Ha Long Bay, you’ll make stops at Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Overnight in Ha Long Bay

Day 3
Spend the morning cruising through Ha Long Bay’s famous limestone cliffs, then tuck into a seafood lunch onboard your vessel. In the afternoon you’ll return to Hanoi via a fascinating stop at an authentic ceramic factory. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4
Board your flight to the former Imperial Capital of Vietnam, Hue. Once you arrive, embark on a Perfume River cruise towards Thien Mu pagoda. In the afternoon, take a tour around the Imperial Citadel. This unmissable sight was inspired by the grandiose mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. Overnight in Hue.

Day 5
Take a scenic journey driving along the coast to Hoi An, which features a stop via Lang Co. Once you arrive in Hoi An, you’ll visit a lantern workshop where you’ll discover how to make one of Vietnam’s famous lanterns yourself. Other highlights include an ancient merchant house, a 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and a colourful riverside market. Afterwards, charter a boat trip along the Thu Bon River then explore the old town in your free time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6
Head to Da Nang in the morning where you’ll catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Once you arrive, you’ll transfer to your hotel. Afterwards, you have the rest of the day free to relax or explore. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7
Today’s first stop is the famous Cu Chi Tunnels that the Vietnamese guerrillas built and utilized during the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, head back to Ho Chi Minh City for a tour of its best sights including the Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Chinatown, the Binh Tay Market and either the Thien Hau Temple or the Quan Am Pagoda. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 8
After breakfast, drive to Cai Be for a cruise of Cai Be bay. Here, you can check out local merchants selling and trading from their boats. Once the cruise is over, you’ll arrive at a village that features a number of quaint family-run businesses that sell rice cakes. Once you’ve enjoyed your lunch at a local house, head to Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet and sample a sampan ride. Once the day is over, leave Vinh Long for a drive to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 9
Start the day with a boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market where you’ll see numerous little boats selling goods from around the Mekong Delta. This is the perfect spot to witness the lively merchants trading and selling, enjoy the local produce and losing yourself in the ambience before heading to Chau Doc, a trading port close to the Cambodian border. Once you’re there, embark on another boat cruise to Chau Doc fish farm and Cham village, Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 10
Today is an indulgence. Kick back and relax with a half day cruise to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, and admire the stunning scenery of the Mekong River as you go. Once in Phnom Penh, you can explore the capital’s famous sights such as the Silver Pagoda, National Museum, The Royal Palace, and the Emerald Buddha statue. You’ll also see Wat Phnom, the city’s oldest shrine. Complete your day with an hour long Khmer massage at La Rose Spa. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 11
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. After you’ve arrived, check into your hotel then head to the unbelievable Angkor complex. Here you’ll see the world’s most impressive ancient city as you tour Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terrace and the Leper King Terrace. Angkor Wat’s extraordinary beauty awaits in the afternoon, where you’ll experience the sunset over the monuments. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12
The second last day of the tour will take you to the 11th-century Temple of Shiva called Banteay Srei. You’ll also be able to make stops by the Ta Prohm Temple, shrouded in jungle scenery. Drive to a local monastery in the afternoon and meet resident monks, where you will participate in a good luck blessing ceremony where the monks will wish you good luck and safe health on your onward journey. To finish the ceremony, the monks tie a sacred thread around your waist to protect you from evil spirits or accidents. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Departure
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
