Day 1

Day 9

Today presents ample opportunities for sightseeing as you explore the historic cliff dwellings, Montezuma Castle. Following that, journey on to the picturesque town of Sedona, nestled amid red sandstone buttes and pinnacles. This spiritually rich destination is bound to be a highlight of your experience.
Day 10
Hotel: Bright Angel Lodge
In the morning, embark on a brief drive to Oak Creek Canyon and Flagstaff, recognised for its appearance in numerous Western movies. Continue your journey to the remarkable Grand Canyon where you can spend the day leisurely strolling along the South Rim, marveling at this awe-inspiring natural wonder with its dramatic gorges and, one mile below the rim, the majestic Colorado River.
Day 12

Today's journey leads you through the epic towns of Williams and Kingman on Historic Route 66 before you reach one of the world's most impressive man-made structures, the Hoover Dam, situated on the border between Arizona and Nevada. After a brief stop to check out the Dam and stretch your legs, carry on to Las Vegas, the dazzling "Entertainment Capital of the World," where nonstop fun and gambling await 24 hours a day.
You have an entire day at your leisure to indulge in the shopping, dining, and gaming that characterise Vegas as the playground that never sleeps.
Day 14

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Las Vegas before departing at noon for a drive across the Amargosa Desert to Death Valley National Park. At Zabriskie Point, take in the panoramic view of this seemingly boundless and timeless valley. Later in the evening, venture outside to experience some of the finest stargazing in the world.
Day 15
Hotel: Yosemite View Lodge
Today provides a stark contrast in scenery, transitioning from the desolate landscapes of Death Valley into the lofty Sierra Nevada Mountains. The drive takes you through Bishop to Tioga Pass and into Yosemite, renowned as one of America's most picturesque national parks. Day 17

Departing from Yosemite, embarking on a westward drive across the state of California, making your way back to San Francisco. The rest of the day is yours to continue your exploration of the City by the Bay.
Day 18
Today marks the end of your Pioneer Trails Self Drive adventure. Return your car at the airport before your departure flight home.
