The Legian & The Club

5* out of 5 stars

Welcome to Bali, the islands of the Gods, where tranquillity and peace is an everyday occurrence. The Legian & The Club, a GHM Hotel, is perfectly situated on the bustling southern coast of the island but keeps a cool distance from the din of holidaymakers with its beachfront location. In the fashinable town of Seminyak, and nestled on Seminyak Beach, The Legian epitomises traditional Balinese style and fuses it with a modern edge for unprecedented lavishness.

You’ll never feel too far from nature as the hotel opens on to the soft, sandy beach of the Indian Ocean, and lush gardens surround the area that create an air of complete exclusivity. Enjoy the hotel’s two-tiered swimming pool while sipping on a fresh fruit juice or a cooling cocktail. Whether you spend the day shopping, surfing or sunbathing, the spa treatments are a sure way to make you feel totally relaxed and rejuvenated with classic Balinese healing traditions. The Legian also offers complimentary yoga sessions, and work out classes can be booked with personal trainers, including outdoor boxing sessions.

The charming staff deliver a personal service like no other luxury hotel and are always on hand to help. The hotel’s restaurant and pool bar serve outstanding food and drink, with a menu that offers European cuisine with a uniquely Asian influence.

This is Balinese luxury like nowhere else, further enhanced should you opt to stay with The Club at The Legian. This unique resort features eleven chalets of exquisite design scattered around manicured gardens and coconut groves with their own private swimming pool and round the clock butler service. Additionally, you can enjoy personal car transfers from your villa to the hotel's private lounge.

You can unwind at the hotel's main pool overlooking the ocean or lounge at the nearby beach, but a perfect holiday in Bali wouldn't be complete without a thorough pampering and grooming experience. The Spa at The Legian is a superb space with saunas and private rooms where experienced professionals will treat you with the finest Indonesian massages and the latest stress management techniques.

Open all day, from breakfast to supper, savour the chef’s excellent repertoire of Western and Asian favourites buffeted by sea breeze and warmed by the Balinese sun. Guests of The Club at The Legian may delight in complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, which may be enjoyed also in the privacy of their villas, and cocktails in the evenings.

The Lobby Lounge

Museum quality Indonesian art fills the walls of a high ceilinged lobby that guests are encouraged to treat as their own living room, by settling onto well padded cane chairs with fresh juice, tea or coffee and a current or classic read from our extensive multilingual library. A cigar selection is available to accompany pre-dinner signature cocktails or a post-prandial brandy.

The Ocean & Pizza Bar

Come daily for lunch of grilled calamari, Thai beef salad and local rice dishes like Nasi Goreng and afternoon tea with local sweets. On Friday and Saturdays, live jazz accompanies happy hour favourites like the Legian Sea Breeze and creative tapas including watermelon with mud crab and homemade hoisin duck pancakes. Throw a party for up to 22 friends by commandeering this entire seaside space.

The Pool Bar

Seaside tables at the Pool Bar are a Bali tradition for sundowners like the Legian Mojito, fresh fruit daiquiris and frozen margaritas, accompanied by the acoustics of the Indian Ocean and beachfront eats, from the ‘café complet’ breakfast to signature all day dishes like Vietnamese summer rolls with steamed prawns, tomato watermelon gazpacho with basil sorbet and the towering Legian Club sandwich.

The Restaurant

Bountiful breakfasts here are a world tour from French toast and homemade Bircher muesli to exotic local fruits and Indonesian fried rice. Lunch on spicy mixed satay, Caesar salad or tuna nicoise then scallop risotto, Wagyu steak or duck confit for dinner, accompanied by a Wine Spectator award winning list. Tasteful theme nights encompass indigenous delights from Indonesian Rijstafel with pork ribs in young jackfruit stew to fresh seafood barbeque and Indonesian set menu to accompany an authentic Legong dance.
