Designed to evoke an African lodge style resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village, part of the DisneyWorld Resort is a little slice of the Serengeti in Florida. The 21-acre safari park and nature reserve that sits on its doorsteps include diverse species of free-roaming animals, exotic birds and tropical flora. The resort includes viewing platforms from which to enjoy the nature, or from certain guest rooms with balconies.
Three savannas surround the complex, each displaying a unique take on the Serengeti and dotted with typical shrubbery found in the region. From here you can spot zebras, kudus, impalas, okapis, giraffes, antelopse, wildebeest, flamingos and more. Close-up encounter packages are also available.
The unique architectural design of the resort takes on the shape of a water buffalo’s horns, connected by wooden walkways, and the resort interior further evokes traditional and ornate African styling. Woven ceilings, thatched roofs and real African artefacts adorn the inside of the lobby. The theme continues into the villas themselves, which benefit from very modern amenities.
For some recreation, dive into Samawati Springs, a zero-depth entry pool with a 128-feet slide. Meanwhile keep fit with Kidani Village’s state of the art gym, or follow the winding jogging trails through the tropical forests of this amazing site.
Please note: This Disney villa offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to the parks. Complimentary self parking is available. Prices subject to change.
