Taking a leaf from the holiday cottages of Martha’s Vineyard and the New England coastline’s wooden villas, Disney’s Beach Club Resort brings an elegantly understated beach-style feel to Orlando’s DisneyWorld area. Set on the shores of Crescent Lake which includes picturesque white sand beaches and tiny cabanas, and joined centrally by Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the French doors, white wicker outdoor furniture and pastel blue and white are completely evocative of this style of breezy holiday villas.

The Beach Club and Yacht Club share the swimming pools and other entertainments of a 3-acre water park on the resort – Stormalong Bay. Here the children will be kept endlessly happy by a water slide housed within a shipwreck, water guns and fountains, and the lazy river.
Meanwhile the all-American coastline theme continues with Beaches and Cream on the poolfront, a 50s-style soda fountain and hamburger diner.
