Shanti Maurice is a perfect getaway for golf enthusiasts too: from guests staying at this resort on their Mauritius holiday can take advantage of a unique golfing experience at Peter Matkovitch-designed Avalon Golf & Country Club with free unlimited green fees at the 18 hole. In addition to this, the package includes shuttle service, one golf cart plus a tray of driving range balls. Shuttles to the course operate throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Lastly, the children will be well looked after while the adults indulge in the above activities. ‘Les Petits Dodos’ kids club, open from 10am - 10pm, is perfect for younger guests from 3 - 11 years old.

To follow on their celebration of cultural authenticity, Shanti Maurice's signature restaurant, Stars, has developed an all-new food concept: Aquacasia showcases traditional Indian Ocean home cooking and highlights each different island’s unique culinary style. Fish Shack, the resort’s rustic-chic beachfront eatery, brings the bounty of the surrounding seas to the table, while the Rum Shed, taking design cues from old island rum shops, echoes the spirit of a bygone era, serving up an authentically Mauritian dining experience.
Please note: Gentlemen are advised to wear long trousers and closed shoes for dinner, in keeping with the universal dress code for hotels in Mauritius.

Spread over 1,000 sqm, the Shanti Villa is tailor-made for every stay, for a couple who wish to appreciate intimate privacy, a family getaway, or a glad reunion in its idyllic peninsula location with privacy and unobstructed views on the open sea. The Villa comprises of three bedrooms: two master bedrooms with king size beds and a third bedroom with twin beds, each with outdoor rain shower. A separate dining space is available and an adjacent kitchen, allowing guests the option of seeking the services of the resort’s dedicated butler during their stay.
Steps down from its spacious living area, the temperature-controlled private pool (140 sqm) is built-in with Jaccuzi beds and large decking, enclosed courtyards and a wrap-around balcony with exotically landscaped private gardens.

Fish Shack
The celebrated Fish Shack at Shanti Maurice, offering the most authentic Mauritian evening on the Island, has become an instant hit with guests and discerning locals alike. The rustic beach-side barbecue, elevated by lantern-light and the sound of waves breaking on the reef, is an unforgettable feast under the stars. The freshest fish, meat and game is grilled on request and served with a selection of salads and herbs picked from our garden a few hours earlier. The menu, depending on the previous night’s catch and the morning market, might include grilled prawns, lobster, sea bass, tuna, snappers, chicken and lamb chops. Cocktails feature rum from the local distillery, while the beer selection introduces the finest offerings from the village brewery. Sega dancers regularly wow guests with the captivating beats and rhythms of the national song and dance. This is a Mauritian experience not to be missed.
La Kaze Mama

Spread over 36 acres of tropical gardens, with breathtaking views of the hills and Indian Ocean, Shanti Maurice offers many shady picnic spots. All you need do is pick your favourite one, where you will be provided with all essential picnic accessories, from the wine cooler to the cushions. Chefs can create wholesome meals ranging from simple salads to fresh fish and game. A salad of sautéed shrimps, avocado, papaya, mango, hearts of palm, pear tomatoes, almonds and sweet and sour vinaigrette, accompanied by a bottle of cold Chablis, is typical picnic fare.
Red Ginger Lounge
This lounge bar is the place to meet for a lunchtime drink, pre-dinner aperitif or late-night cocktails. By day, the bar offers views across the glistening waters of the infinity pool and beyond to the Indian Ocean. At night, discrete lighting picks out the sculptures and foliage in the exotic poolside gardens. The lounge offers alfresco and indoor dining options with a wide-ranging menu and wine list. Every evening, whilst the bar team mix classic cocktails, local musicians provide entertainment, bringing Mauritian culture and sounds alive.
