The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius, lies along a quiet stretch of white sand at the tip of Le Morne Peninsula on the island of Mauritius. It's a place of incredible vistas, with views over the surrounding bright blue lagoon and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Le Morne Brabant Mountain.
The resort is backed by dense vegetation that surrounds the mountain, creating a tranquil sense of seclusion. Most of the 172 suites and villas have views over the lagoon or the lush gardens and boast a private terrace or balcony. Some are beachfront and others are located within the main hotel building.
Five fine dining restaurants serve a range of cuisines, such as French, Asian, Japanese and Indian. The main restaurant also offers a buffet breakfast. Both beautiful ocean views and a menu full of local seafood dishes are showcased at the beachfront grill and bar. Private dinners on the beach or jetty can be arranged as a romantic treat.
Guests have access to a wealth of facilities at JW Marriott Mauritius Resort, including two swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis, spa, private cinema, library, and kids' club.
With such soft white sand and crystal-clear waters, spending quality time on the resort's beach is hard to resist. However, there are many other ways to enjoy a stay here. Guests can treat themselves to all kinds of pampering sessions in the spa. It boasts 12 treatment areas, a hair and beauty salon, steam room, sauna, relaxation lounge and a Jacuzzi. There's also a fitness centre with garden views. A number of watersports are available at The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, such as kayaking, snorkelling, windsurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Adjacent to the resort is the world-class kite surfing site, One Eye. Local sites of interest within easy reach include Black River Gorges National Park and Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is just over an hour's drive from the resort.
