With 245 recently renovated rooms, you can relax and unwind after a day of hiking, rock climbing or exploring during your Yosemite holiday. Families and large groups will also benefit from the spacious guest rooms, and the large outdoor grounds. You’ll find that the property has built-in floor to ceiling glass windows which means that you can enjoy the stunning views of the falls, and plenty of natural light from dawn to dusk.

Dining at Yosemite Valley Lodge

Experience breathtaking views of the nearly 2500-foot-high waterfall at The Mountain Room Restaurant. Indulge in perfectly cooked steaks, sustainably caught seafood, and delectable vegetarian options from the year-round menu.

After dinner, relax and unwind at The Mountain Room Lounge by toasting marshmallows to a golden brown over an open flame. Enjoy the cosy ambiance with a Swedish-style fireplace, classic furnishings, and a selection of cocktails and appetisers. In the warmer months, savour the stunning surroundings while sitting on the patio.

Things to do at Yosemite Valley Lodge

In the summer/spring seasons there will be plenty of things to do on your holiday to Yosemite. The national park offers visitors the chance to take advantage of its natural beauty with a host of activities and educational guided tours. Staff members at the Yosemite Valley Lodge will be able to recommend the best places to go, and people to see, depending on how you would like to explore the park. You can also rent bikes at the hotel if you fancy a cycle along the guided trails. After an action-packed day, take a splash at the hotel’s heated outdoor swimming pool, or lounge along the poolside. In the evenings, visit the hotel’s outdoor amphitheatre to watch naturalist programmes, slide presentations and films.

Winter at Yosemite Valley Lodge

Whether you’re holidaying in the sun or snow, you are sure to find something fun to do on your Yosemite holiday. During the winter period, the Yosemite Valley Lodge transforms into a ski venue, similar to those you would find in the Alps. You can sign up to ski down the mountains or ice skate around the hotel’s ice rink.

Know Before You Go

It is standard practice for resorts/hotels within the USA to charge a mandatory resort fee which is payable locally. This fee can be anywhere between $5 to $50 per room per night and is not included in the cost of your Kenwood Travel holiday. Currently, the Yosemite Valley Lodge doesn't charge a resort fee, however this can change at any time.

Traditional Rooms

Traditional rooms provide the comfort of a city hotel in the heart of the beautiful national park. Each room is surrounded by gorgeous Yosemite flora, is in view of incredible mountains, and is a short walk away from the Yosemite Falls or Merced River. Choose between varying options of our Traditional Rooms, which include rooms with 2 double beds, 1 king-size bed, or 1 queen-size bed.

Some of our Traditional Rooms are set up to be accessibility compliant, which include one queen bed, widened doors, grab bars in toilet stalls, raised toilet seats, and low-density carpet.

Family Rooms

The Lodge has 4 Family King Rooms. These are located only upstairs and have large windows that enable the beautiful mountain sunshine to fill the rooms. The Family King Rooms have a king-size bed, a Bunk Bed (double-size on bottom bunk, single size on top), a sofa, a dining table, and a large TV with DVD player.

Bunk Rooms

Bunk Rooms are perfect for small groups. The Bunk Rooms are closest to the Merced River and have a queen-size bed and a Bunk Bed (double-size on bottom bunk, single size on top).

The Mountain Room Lounge

Kick back, put a marshmallow on a stick, and roast it to a golden brown at The Mountain Room Lounge. In addition to the wonderful Swedish-style fireplace, you'll enjoy the classic furnishings as a sip a cocktail and munch on delicious appetizers. During the warmer months, you can enjoy sitting outside on the patio, where you’ll take in the gorgeous surroundings.

Base Camp Eatery

Base Camp Eatery serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The new dining experience offers greater menu variety, recipes using local/seasonal ingredients with a greater emphasis on front-of-house cooking and fresh food concepts, and grab-and-go selections. The interior design and concept honors the history of rock climbing in Yosemite. Base Camp Eatery represents Yosemite Hospitality’s latest capital improvement project and continued investment in modernizing hospitality offerings and enhancing guest experiences at Yosemite National Park. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.
