More than just a hotel, The Bryce Canyon Lodge is a part of the park’s history, offering motel-style accommodation in its famous green roofed, wooden buildings and cabins. As the only in-park accommodation choice it offers a unique chance to experience the peace and natural beauty of the canyon away from the crowds. The lodge is open from April to November only.
Accommodation at Bryce Canyon Lodge
The Lodge’s 70 motel style sunrise and sunset lodge rooms feature one King or two Queen size beds, a microwave, mini fridge, and a private porch area to relax on after a busy day of hiking. Forty individual cabins dotted throughout woodland areas also include gas fireplaces for cosying up on cooler evenings.
Dining at Bryce Canyon Lodge
The Lodge’s full-service restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu including regional dishes like trout, buffalo, and vegetarian options, all while taking in breathtaking views of the Bryce Amphitheater. At nearby Sunset Point you’ll find Valhalla Pizzeria (open May - September), a casual dining option for quick and simple pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. And there’s a General Store here too for picking up groceries, snacks, and picnic supplies ready for day trips out.
Things to do at Bryce Canyon Lodge
Just a mile and a half from the Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor Centre the lodge is ideal for days and evenings spent exploring the area. Take a horseback tour, walk the Canyon Rim, or enjoy a scenic drive on the shuttle. Or enjoy a guided hike, and ranger talks on everything from geology to astrology to better understand this incredible location. And as a dedicated Dark Sky location, you’ll be able to enjoy spectacular night sky views from the comfort of your room.
