Ramadan in Ras Al Khaimah

Ramadan is dictated by a lunar cycle so its timings vary from year to year. For Ramadan, Muslims obey abstinence from food, drinks and tobacco during daylight hours and, as acknowledgment of this, visitors are expected to do the same.

Non-fasting visitors to Ras al Khaimah, however, will be able to find food and drink outlets in their international resort or hotel. Most other activities are unaffected by Ramadan, meaning golf courses, spas, sports facilities and retail outlets should be open to visitors. It’s always a good idea to check opening times in advance though, in case of any schedule changes brought about by the holy month.

The dates for Ramadan 2018 are 16 May - 14 June. Visitors to the Middle East during this time should be aware that opening times may vary and some restrictions may apply. Please speak to your Middle East specialist at Kenwood Travel for more information.
