The aroma of salty sea air is your constant companion as you bask in balmy breezes and take in the vibrant way of life that is imbued across culture and cuisine.

As you step on board your Discovery Yacht this afternoon, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Captain and crew. From the Sky Deck, raise a toast as you bid farewell to the shores of Santa Cruz de Tenerife as you embark on an unforgettable journey.

Please book your flight to arrive into Tenerife prior to 02:00 PM.

    Docked: 19:00

The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a beautiful and scenic island which enjoys year-round sunshine and is dominated by Mount Teide. The mountain range runs through the centre of the island, with fertile valleys on the northern side. In the central part of the range is the gigantic natural crater of the Cañadas del Teide, about 14 miles in diameter. Santa Cruz, the island’s pretty capital, was originally a small fishing village but has now grown into a modern city, and also contains 16th-century civic buildings and ornate private mansions. Near the pier is the Santa Cruz Palmetum, a Botanical Garden covering an area of 29 acres, specialising in palms.

  • Day 2

Santa Cruz de La Palma, Spain

It’s just a short hop across to Santa Cruz de la Palma, a charming port city nestled on the eastern coast of La Palma Island in the Canary archipelago. Founded in 1493, it grew to be the third largest port in Europe in the 16th century. Today, its cobbled streets are quiet, lined with colourful houses, grand churches and well-preserved colonial architecture complete with wooden balconies and tumbling flower boxes. Immerse yourself in the rich history and cultural heritage of this historic city as you explore local markets and indulge in delicious cuisine.

    Scenic Freechoice:
Caldera del Taburiente National Park: This scenic tour takes you through stunning viewpoints on the island, including La Concepción, Caldera de Taburiente National Park, La Cumbrecita and Tajuya, before returning to the port.

Walking Tour of Santa Cruz & Visit to Puros Julio Factory: Explore Santa Cruz’s historic centre and Church of Las Nieves on a walking tour. Visit Puros Artesanos Julio cigar factory, for a unique artisanal craft experience and wine tasting, before a scenic return to the port.

Hiking Volcano Teneguia: Hike from Los Canarios to the Teneguía volcano and discover La Palma’s volcanic landscapes. End with a visit to the southern lighthouse and salt pans by the Atlantic.

Discover the North of La Palma: Discover La Palma’s lush highlands, ancient forests, coastal villages, and natural pools, ending with a traditional rum tasting. Experience a breathtaking journey through the island’s most captivating landscapes.

    Docked: 08:00 - 17:00

Also known as ‘La Isla Bonita’ (the beautiful island), La Palma is typified by lush forests of pine, laurel and fern which contrast with the rugged splendour of the gigantic Taburiente crater. The island is dotted with attractive villages, which are a delight to discover, and the capital Santa Cruz also makes for an interesting day of exploration. Perched on the edge of the volcanic crater of La Caldereta, Santa Cruz comfortably blends modern architecture with old colonial buildings. Perhaps visit the fascinating Natural History Museum, stroll around the historic quarters and the Plaza de Espana or travel a few miles outside the city to the exquisite Church of Our Lady. If you enjoy shopping, you can find reasonably priced silver jewellery, leather goods and beautifully embroidered clothes, tablecloths and napkins, a speciality of the Canary Islands.

  • Day 3

    Arrecife, Lanzarote, Spain

With its striking volcanic landscapes, pristine beaches and vibrant culture, Arrecife offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm. Docked: 12:00 - 19:00

A volcanic island designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Lanzarote’s dramatic landscapes were shaped by an explosive past. Today, its pretty beaches and virtual absence of rain together with duty-free shopping make the island an extremely desirable destination. The main port and capital, Arrecife, is a pleasant town with a modern seafront and colourful gardens. Outside the capital there is plenty to explore, from the dazzling white salt flats of Janubio and the rugged terrain of Fire Mountain to the eerie caves of Los Verdes and an array of unspoilt fishing villages scattered around the coast. The island is home to a great selection of restaurants and local specialities including garbanzos compuestos – a chickpea stew; papas arrugadas – potatoes with carrots, peas, ham and green pepper; and of course, plenty of fresh seafood. Please note that those planning to participate in one of the shore excursions from this port may need to take an early lunch on board ship to suit the excursion schedules.

  • Day 5

    Casablanca, Morocco

Known as the ‘White City’, Casablanca is one of the largest cities in North Africa and the economic and financial capital of Morocco. It began life as a Berber settlement more than 3,000 years ago, though the beautiful art-deco ‘new city’ was built by the French in the 1930s. Here, you'll experience the best of Morocco with its blend of ancient history and sophisticated European flair. Explore the bustling streets lined with colonial-era architecture and modern skyscrapers, showcasing the city's diverse cultural heritage. Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, stroll along the Corniche, and dive into vibrant souks.

    Scenic Freechoice:

Explore Mohamed V Square, Habous Quarter, and the stunning Hassan II Mosque before visiting the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Hassan Tower, and the scenic Kasbah of the Oudayas.

Casablanca Cooking Demonstration: Immerse yourself in Casablanca’s Central Market, where you’ll encounter fresh local ingredients before visiting the stunning Hassan II Mosque. Then, enjoy a hands-on cooking experience at a local restaurant, learning to prepare and savour traditional Moroccan dishes.

    Docked: 07:00 - 20:00

The original settlement formed on the site of Casablanca by the Berbers became the kingdom of Anfa, and during the 15th century harboured pirates who raided the Portuguese coast. In retaliation for the attacks, the Portuguese destroyed Anfa and founded the town they called Casa Branca (white house). They remained here until an earthquake in 1755 and the town was subsequently rebuilt by Mohammed ben Abdallah, whose legacy of mosques and houses can still be seen in the old Medina. Casablanca acquired its present-day name when the Spanish obtained special port privileges in 1781. The French landed here in 1907, later establishing a protectorate and modelling the town on the port of Marseilles. Today Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city, its most significant port and the centre of commerce and industry. The city is a vibrant fusion of European, African and Arabian influences and its French colonial architecture and art deco buildings seamlessly blend in with the busy, colourful markets. Please note that vendors in the souks can be very persistent and eager to make a sale.
