Power cuts out frequently, there is limited internet access or shops outside the hotels, and no cash machines, so be prepared! The island is barely spoilt and as such the natural history of Koh Kood is one of the biggest marvels to explore. With rudimentary roads and no taxis, your best bet is to hire a mountain bike or motorbike to get around. Alternatively take to the water as a mangrove-lined estuary allows you to kayak through the jungle. Meanwhile the absence of much human influence has given the waters that surround this island a very rich and diverse population of marine life to snorkel over or dive between.
