Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands
Adventure seekers can enjoy a day in Siam Park. This is one of the world’s most famous water parks complete with gravity-defying water slides, lazy rivers, and expansive pools, all housed within a stunning park inspired by Thai architecture. Take a trip to the ancient Pyramids of Güímar, comprised of six pyramid-shaped structures made of lava stone, replicating similar formations found in Egypt, Mexico, and Peru. Hike the impressive peak rising over 12,000 feet above sea level, Mount Teide – the third-tallest volcanic structure in the world. Should you be looking for a slow-paced day on the beach, you’ll find no shortage of blissful bays to choose from.

St. George's, Grenada
Nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa those heady aromas fill the air in Grenada (pronounced gruh-nay-da). The Isle of Spice is a tropical gem of lush rain forests, white-sand beaches, secluded coves, exotic flowers, and enough locally grown spices to fill anyone's kitchen cabinet. St. George's is one of the most picturesque capital cities in the Caribbean, proven by the horseshoe-shaped St. George's Harbour, a submerged volcanic crater, arguably the prettiest harbour in the Caribbean.

Bridgetown, Barbados
Sherbet coloured buildings line up to overlook the waterfront of the Constitution River at the ‘The Careenage’ - where gleaming ships bob on the blue water, and peaceful strolls along a wooden boardwalk await. Stroll to Carlisle Bay - a postcard-perfect place where you'll find crystal-clear, turquoise seawater glowing in the Caribbean sun, and a mile of soft white powder sand. A treasure trove for divers, the shipwrecks scattered below the shallow water’s waves are now inhabited by turtles and swirling, rainbow-coloured tropical fish.

Castries, Saint Lucia
The typical image of a lush tropical paradise comes to life on the friendly island of St Lucia. Despite its small size – just 27 miles long and 14 miles wide – St Lucia is rich in natural splendour with dense emerald rainforest, banana plantations and orchards of coconut, mango and papaya trees. The twin peaks of Les Pitons, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site rise dramatically 2,000 feet into the sky and dominate the island. Look out for unusual birds with brilliant plumage such as the St Lucia parrot, see a surprising diversity of exotic flora and enjoy the warm hospitality of the islanders in the small villages and open-air markets.

Bright and brilliant colours coat the waterfront buildings of Willemstad, gleaming attractively below the generous Caribbean sun. The capital of the Caribbean island Curacao, Willemstad is famous for its technicolour UNESCO World Heritage Site city centre, and a narrow channel connects the sea with the Schottegat harbour, which expands inland like a blooming flower. Look out for 'DUSHI' signs, the island's favourite way of describing the little things that make life worth living. The beaches of Curaçao are certainly 'dushi', with tempting sandy curves on practically every corner. Snorkel in the turquoise waves, among dashing fish life and sleek sea turtles.
