Disney's Blizzard Beach holidays
According to legend, Blizzard Beach is the result of a failed Floridian snow resort which was built after a freak snowstorm in the Sunshine State. Just when the owners were about to call it quits they saw an alligator sliding down the mountainside which inspired the creation of Blizzard Beach! This amazing waterpark is home to a huge variety of thrills including the gargantuan Summit Plummet, which propels riders brave enough to take to plunge down one of the largest and fastest slides in the world.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which is set on the beautiful lake Lago Dorado, offers extremely easy access to everything Blizzard Beach has to offer as well as other Disney parks. The resort itself has three heated pools, a Mayan pyramid style dig site for the little ones to enjoy and is home to some beautiful grounds. Dining here is a joy with three eateries including Maya Grill which serves a mouthwatering range of Latin American dishes.
