5 Nights / 6 Days
2 nights in Marrakech
2 nights in Ouarzazate
1 night in the Merzouga Sahara Dunes
This tour has been specially designed to allow you to experience the best that the South of Morocco has to offer through a four-day jeep safari, including a superb night spent camping in the majestic Sahara dunes. This is a remarkable journey – partially off-road, adventurous, stimulating and richly memorable. Witness a kaleidoscope of colour as we travel through the spectacular countryside.
It’s a travel back in the time - the villagers way of life has remained unchanged for centuries and generations and they are friendly and open to visitors, giving you the chance to have a sneak look into a traditional way of living that has long died out in the West. Plunge into the heart of ravishing valleys, oases, mountains and desert, rich with culture and beauty.
We have developed a fascinating programme combining the exoticism of the South of Morocco with Marrakech, known as the “Pearl of the South” and featuring spectacular sites and palaces; stunning vistas and surprising palatial venues.

From Anemiter, you continue with this superb journey on an exciting off-road experience following the delightful Ounila Valley.
In early afternoon arrive at the ancient Kasbah complex of Ait Ben Haddou, a wonderful 11th century Ksar (fortified village) that has been declared an historical treasure by UNESCO and that has also been the location of many Hollywood movies.
It is an area of crumbling Kasbahs grouped among patches of wheat fields, terraced orchards, olives and date palms. It ascends a small mountain and is surmounted by an Agadir (grain storage tower) giving it an epic scale.

Starting bright and early, we will be driven to Agdz, from which we follow an enchanting part of the stupendous Draa Valley, where six palm forests form a long ribbon of greenery. Cereals, henna, vegetables, fruit and date palms are cultivated on the floor of the valley and on the terraced valley walls. You will also be crossing desert areas as well as fortified villages (Ksours). Continue in the direction of Rissani via N’kob, Tazarine and Alnif.
Arrive at Rissani, the cradle of the presently reigning Alaouite Dynasty. View the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif from outside and take a tour of the Abou Aam Ksar (fortified village) dating back to the 14th century with its maze-like passages and ornate brickwork as well as the Ouled El Hadim Kasbah.
Continue to Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara Dunes for a superb night spent camping in Bedouin tent. After settling in to your tent, you will have the opportunity to explore the area further. Experience Berber life first hand as you pass the night under the vast Saharan sky. You’ll be amazed and you're going to love it!

The Todra Gorge is a massive fault in the plateau dividing the High Atlas from the Jebel Sarho with a crystal-clear river running through it. Walking expedition "at the ends of the Earth", in the awesome gorge, between 300 metre cliffs.
Continue on the beautiful Road of a Thousand Kasbahs via Boumalne du Dades, a large town and local administration center at the foot of the gorge, followed by a series of Kasbahs. Depending on timing and your wishes, we can either take a dirt track via Boutgharar or the metalled road.
