Still, hardcore watersports enthusiasts and sun worshippers will certainly enjoy the heat from July through September. Temperatures during the rest of the year however tend to be fairly mild, with many destinations boasting an eternal spring-like climate. Temperatures in the desert can vary drastically from day to night, with differences of as much as 28° C.
Ramadan in the Middle East
Ramadan is the month of fasting when Muslims abstain from all food, drinks and smoking from dawn to dusk. As a sign of respect, visitors to the Middle East are also requested to refrain from consuming these items in public places during the daylight hours of this month.
If you are a non-fasting visitor, your international hotel or resort will provide you with food and beverage outlets during the day. Most activities run as normal during Ramadan, so you can visit golf clubs, sports centres, shopping malls and spas.
